The Circle Maker is the story of a Jewish prophet who lived about a century before the time of Jesus. As the story is told, Israel was experiencing a period of drought, so Honi drew a circle in the dust, stood inside it, and informed God that he would not move until it rained. God answered his prayer.

The Circle Maker series based on Mark Batterson’s book by the same name, focuses on the power of prayer in our lives. But more importantly than simply praying, The Circle Maker is about praying persistently with power until God answers our prayers. In Matthew 21:13closeMatthew 21:13 13 He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you make it a den of robbers.” (ESV) closeMatthew 21:13closeMatthew 21:13 13 He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you make it a den of robbers.” (ESV) 13 He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you make it a den of robbers.” (ESV) Jesus says “My house shall be a house of prayer“. Our hope is that this church may experience the revolutionary power of prayer and become a house of prayer for God.
