Hi There,
My name is Roger Esteves, and I am very happy that you are here. For some reason you decided to take some time to look at our church website. Maybe a friend told you to look for us online, or you were simply searching for a church. Regardless of the reason that brings you here, please let me spend a few moments with you explaining to you what we here at Son Valley Fellowship are all about and what is it that makes us different from other churches.
Our focus is on helping you meet and fall in love with our friend, Jesus Christ. We are a Biblical community where focusing on Jesus allows love, healing and transformation to take place.
You know, I believe that a church, whatever denomination it is, should follow 100% what the Bible says. I am aware that only a perfect being is able to follow the Bible 100% of the time. Well, we are not perfect. We have our faults, challenges and difficulties. BUT WE WORK ON OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD EVERY SINGLE DAY!
We are sinners in need of a Saviour: Jesus Christ. Every day, we want to know Jesus a little bit more, and in order for us to know Him, we use the Bible as our main reference. No other book or author is placed first above the Bible.
We also believe that we should follow Christ’s example. Jesus said that He came to this earth to serve. He served the people from His time because He loved them. No matter their social status, their race, their gender, or even the language they spoke, Jesus always took time to be with them and to show them love. We follow this principle as closely as possible. To us, it doesn’t matter your background, education level, or how you dress. It doesn’t matter what sins you may have committed or what battles you are currently fighting. With us you will find a group of Christian believers that openly and honestly share similar problems, battles, and struggles. But you will also find that we share love and support for each other.
Finally, let me tell you that at our church, we hope you will find a stress-free environment. We don’t fight with each other, we love each other. We don’t do politics, we support each other. You will see that despite our common problems, the time we spend in our church is to worship and praise our Creator and Saviour, to organize events and programs that will minister to the community, and to fellowship with each other.
We are busy doing the work God asks us to do: to “Love your God with all your heart, and to love your neighbur as to yourself.” Because we follow this principle, we don’t really have time left to get stressed with other issues.
So in conclusion, I invite you to come and visit with us. You will find the information as to our worship service time and location on this website. Come and see for yourself what a real church family looks like – with all our faults. We believe we have something very important to offer you, and we would love to have you worship with us, getting to know the awesomeness of Jesus Christ together.
